I’m self-hosting gitea just for their private docker registry. LFS is actually slow for heavy deep learning workflow with millions of small files. I’m using DVC [1] instead. [1]: https://dvc.org

I think this is wonderful. I’m running a Gitea instance in one of our dev machine just for private registry. Keeping the instance only had been extra workflow for us. But 500MB limit of layer size is a dealbreaker for AI related workflow.

I guess you’re lucky. I own 2 machines for small scale CNN training, one 13900k and one 14900k. I have to throttle the CPU performances to 90% for stable running. This cost me about 1 hour / 100 hours of training.

I see your point on the pull speed. Most of my pulls are stuck at waiting for the pytorch/dependencies layer. This might work with pip but I absolutely hate pip and using poetry with great success. I will investigate how to do this wit

You can’t. Installing pytorch and supporting dependencies takes 2.2GB on debian-slim.

I think this is to avoid debate in the team that would use the language. The language simply doesn't allow that, end of discussion. Just like `go fmt`. It's a compiler error for unformatted codes.

It’s for personal satisfaction. At some point, you can’t physically move the cube any faster, but rather you learn new algorithm to save the steps. For example, you could solve the final layer by repeating 3 algorithms. Or you could learn a

I have been solving Rubik’s cube for 10 years. Some of the moves are impossible for human like rotating the up and down faces (or left and right faces) at the same time. For human, it would be rotating the middle and rotate the whole cube i

What is the selling point of this compring to Remix which is also a vite powered React framework? I glance at the README and the website and all the selling points could be checked by Remix as well.

I'm replying to the question of how one would replicate SQLite 3 in production for redundancy. I myself consider 10GB would be the limit for using SQLite 3 in read/write in production and switch to PostgreSQL.

I do this in backup testing: sqlite3 /path/to/db sqlite> PRAGMA integrity_check; See SQLite3 documentation: https://www.sqlite.org/pragma.html#pragma_integrity_check

That's why you always test your backup. I backup the full sqlite.db every day and test the litestream replication every week. So far litestream have been solid.

Thank you for a very detailed write up. Here I am using shorthash for Docker image tags. I guess I will fix this asap.
