Kickstarter is not a store. Kickstarter is very weird, actually. Kickstarter is not investment. I've never invested money in a company, but I've invested labor in exchange for shares; I was, thus, a stakeholder, and had a say in a

I hate that expression. What's the point of a single-edged sword? Swords are supposed to puncture and penetrate; a single-edged sword won't be able to do that, because it's unable to cut on one side.

Meh. Two things would be problematic: 1) The composition of the 1%, 0.1%, 0.01%, etc. never changes -- not in generations. I.e. there's an entrenched aristocracy. 2) Topocracy: people are making money for their social connections rathe

To be fair, american government bonds have been ZIRPish since... You could invest in third world governments with interest rates that are too high for their S&P/Moody's/Fitch ratings. Look how revolutionary this idea.

Don't you find exponent notation to be neater? 1E+03 = one thousand 1E+06 = one million 1E+09 = a thousand millions / an american billion 1E+12 = an american trillion / an european billion .. and that's as far as you nee

This keeps coming up. I read pretty much everything Stafford Beer put up about the functioning of the system, but we never really saw a specification of the system dynamics-based model of the chilean economy it was supposed to be based on.

The API and mobile clients are better too. Though the Google Docs API is awesome; apps like IFTT's "add row to Google Spreadsheet" might just eat the cloud DB space from below.

I just discovered that 4chan works great on mobile phones. The great barrier to entry, for me, was the high risk of not only NSFW, but very weird NSFW stuff randomly popping up (even if I stay in /mu/ and /pol/) at work.
