There is nothing fundamentally different about Bitcoin versus other crypto ledgers. There really is no reason to think that its value won't eventually look exactly the same as every other "coin" that have come and gone.

Crypto is a complex solution looking for a problem. It's kind of funny how it's marketed as a secure alternative to banks. Like; banks were the more secure alternative to hiding your money inside the mattress. Crypto almost feels

I've been trying really hard, but for just about anything I've tried, ChatGPT has just been Captain Obvious form the Department of Obvious. It's the newbie who in their first marketing meeting suggests that target groups shou

The more I see things like this, the more convinced I get that what most impresses us about ChatGPT is at the same time its greatest weakness: it responds to everything EXACTLY the way we expect it to. Ask it to do anything creative, and

Ah, the good old "we often attribute our dog’s actions to feelings they’re not really having." There's zero credible research to support that statement. However, it has been repeated to such an extent, that it is now taken as

Nice condesending tone you have there. Where Java will never be seen: - equipment in hospital operating rooms - aircraft flight control systems - anywhere where you need clock cycle level precision (e.g. scientific measurement) - any system

That would depend a lot on what kind of large project you are building. As an example, Java is unusable for any project that requires high speed processing or highly accurate timing. Also, there's a HUGE overhead that comes from wiring

It's not just Gen Z. I'm a Gen X'er, approaching 50 fast, and I think I've had my phone on silent since 2011. More or less the same with my friends. The sound only gets switched on when expecting a call.

Having studied this for some 20 years, I too am pretty convinced that "calories in, calories out" is little more than naive thinking. That's just not how the body works. Yes, often you'll hear things like "studies s

That's quite an apples and oranges comparison. I think they are e.g. basically implying, that ATMs or point-of-sale systems or any financial services at the bank counter wouldn't be needed in a Bitcoin-only world. Seems like a fal
