I hope they won't kill it, but you can experience it even leaner on: https://teletekst-data.nos.nl/webplus?p=101 . It's my preferred way of quickly checking the news in The Netherlands, and it works on all devices.

True, we don't need a vi(m) haters handbook. That's just natural.

It's about perception and feelings. If anime cat girls have sexual connotations (for a large enough group), that's the way it is. That critique didn't come out of thin air, and its age is hardly relevant. The association has

Except 'some condition' may change, can be long, or expensive, so you likely need an extra variable.

Typescript has another way of dealing with null/undefined: it's in the type definition, and you can't use a value that's potentially null/undefined. Using Optional<T> in Typescript is, IMO, weird. Typescript a

Yup, that's it. If you're going to modify a field in the receiver, or want to pass a field by reference, you're going to need a pointer. Otherwise, a value will do, unless ... that weird interface thing makes you. I guess tha

Currently, you can write if (some condition) { defer x() } When it's lexically scoped, you'd need to add some variable. Not that that happens a lot, but a lexically scoped defer isnt needed often either.

I find Result[] and Optional[] somewhat overrated, but nil does bother me. However, nil isn't going to go away (what else is going to be the default value for pointers and interfaces, and not break existing code?). I think something li

Why? It has sexual connotations, and it involves someone under the age of consent. As wikipedia puts it: "In a 2010 critique of the manga series Loveless, the feminist writer T. A. Noonan argued that, in Japanese culture, catgirl chara

That says something about the chosen picture, doesn't it? Probably that it's not well liked. It certainly isn't neutral, while the Cloudfare page is.

This is not about any message, this is about an icon signifying "party". In your argumentation: they might not even know what a party is! That's how useless such an icon would be.

Why would you have such a thing? When you communicate, you know the receivers' culture, isn't it? Otherwise wouldn't it be a rather infrequent symbol with less practical use than e.g. "incomplete infinity"?

Frequently calling the alarm number without a valid reason can be fined up to 6700 euro, or result in 3 months detention here. So if Pixel still has this bug, that's just another reason not to buy a Google product.

I think this is a case of trees and forest. Scifi doesn't require "a universe with internally self-consistent scientific laws." Or, if you want to hold on to that interpretation, there is no scifi. Not even the ones that upho

What's their obsession with clock when there is only one hand? I guess there isn't training material with similar shapes describing them as angles. Even a compass would make more sense.
