I assumed it was there for overflow of non-covid patients, is that not the case? Are NY hospitals over capacity? edit: seems this is addressed later in the article but for some reason NYT is paywalling/registerwalling this after the fo

We had a very similar situation recently where the colocation facility had replaced some missing block-out panels in a rack and it caused the top-of-rack switches to recycle hot air... the system temps of both switches were north of 100°C a

I wish gcp and aws would take some notes (or make some acquisitions) to get close to Azure Devops... It has been a natural - dare I say pleasant - exercise to move some really rancid 15-year old legacy .net sql server/stored procedu

As a product manager you should not be asking anyone to build you anything without properly explaining the why. It starts with the why, and a good engineering team will offer how+when. If you get overly involved in the how you'll end u

You could reshingle a roof for $3.50/sqft and it's not unheard of to get traditional solar installed at $1.50/W, ~$15,000 for a 10kw system. $7000 + $15,000 Then you apply the federal credit after that. This is for a grid-tie

I believe they have "dud" panels which are not power generating, as well as for edges and joints where a full solar tile wouldn't fit. I also imagine the cost they show is not for 2000sqft of generating panels.
