Don’t worry, it’s nothing like Spelling Bee at all except that they’re both word games. Spelling Bee is more similar to Boggle than this. I think the other commenter misunderstood your game.

Well the integral doesn’t work for a Cauchy distribution either so that seems a little unfair for criticism. And this kind of procedure is not unusual for more complex distributions that have no well-understood density function to integrate

Sadly, muscle only burns 12.6 kcal / kg /day at rest [1]. If you put on an impressive 20kg of muscle that would only increase total expenditure by 250 kcal a day. If you want your muscles to burn calories, you'd better be exe

You're assuming that breathing rate is proportional to CO2 breathed out, which I doubt. I barely breath any faster while running than while just sitting here, much less than 3x.

Then it's odd to call her the "single most accurate representative" then if you agree that Doreen is not representative of the users or the movement anymore. The historical information about the sub was well-researched and in

I think this article is trying to have its cake and eat it too. If the sub has been sanewashed and overrun by average left-of-center opinions and become wildly popular, then how can it be true that Doreen still represents the movement? The

Your body does this itself. You have two copies of every chromosome and they’re practical identical. A break in one will be repaired by using the other chromosome. Similarly, even a base change in one strand of one chromosome will be repair

Google Maps now defaults to that last options (or at least displays it by default, I'm not certain it's always chosen). See here [1] for example. I would be interested in seeing a 3rd party assess how accurate that metric is. [1]

If you want to define volume in D-dimensional space then you need to choose what the unit volume is, for example that a unit hyper cube has unit volume one. (That choice is relevant for these discussions and you could equally have chosen a

It's no more ill defined than volume itself (and less so since it doesn't need an arbitrary scale).

Perhaps you can be more specific since I don't see the claim here being discussed there.

I'm not certain I know what you mean, but it doesn't seem to work. If you mean to take epsilon neighborhoods in Euclidean norm of the axes, then I'm skeptical that that contains most of the mass of the sphere, since simulatin

I think it helps coming from another direction where dataframes are fancy 2D numpy arrays or a fancy 'dict-of-dicts'. I do like being able to query from index with .loc. Nonetheless I basically agree with you.

Interesting. The attack seems to be primarily on people who don't already have Zelle so in the analogous case in Europe wouldn't the attacker just be able to setup the app as the victim and authorize the transfer themselves?
