The intentions of the authors is for Swift to take over the world. But the way it's going, it will probably become stuck on Apple's ecosystem like Objective C.

Good perspective. But some examples, like Coca Cola, didn't adapt that much. The logo pretty much stayed the same since early times.

I was a software developer back then, and I don't remember seeing a single Mac. On the other hand, Windows 95 was everywhere.

until the power supply fried Interesting. Re stability, people bitched Windows 95 a lot, but I only encountered serious issues when 98 came out. XP was very stable... but don't get me started on Windows ME.

LibreOffice is a nice thing until you get really serious and your day depends on a good office suite. MS Office is complex, full of bugs... but it has all the things in place that a power user needs. They gave a big though about the things
