Like fixing a recently discovered severe security issues affecting a large number of repositories? That would be terrible indeed. But it might happen. Good to have a powerful tool at hand in that case.

I don't know their use case very well. Maybe Perforce. Or didn't MS have their own in-house SCM as well?

Yes. Or they could just a different kind of SCM that doesn't have these performance issues.

This serves as an example to me that git is - maybe - not the right tool for the job.

Oh. I thought you were talking about a viable GitHub competitor ;)

I used to publish all my stuff on GitHub. But my current employer makes me jump through some hoops before I can do that. So I don't publish the stuff that build for myself anymore.

Why did they reinvent Protos again?

gopass.pw should work on Windows, too. It's a drop-in replacement for pass.

Same here. But then I wouldn't recommend anyone to do the same

I'm getting more and more convinced that git is way too powerful/complex for most people.

I agree. I have yet to see a candidate that has obviously seen my questions before.

Don't let that hear your current or next employer;)

Is it only me or is git terribly complicated? How is average Joe (or rather: average coder) supposed to handle it correctly?

IMHO the by far most concerning part about this is GitHub blocking the original author.

Really looking forward to age 1.1.0 so we can give gopass mature age support as well. Stupid question: Are only YubiKeys supported or also other hardware tokens?

Once age gets yubikey support we'll add that, too.

Correct. Gopass has very early age support. It fully works but the UX is not great (yet).

Now the question is when it's available with GitHub Actions.

Someone should tell them that any system that it logging user supplied data can be affected. Not only "user facing" systems. Not even a WAF can protect these.

That will blow up the size of the index a lot. Need to be clever about this.

Is there automatic planning of upcoming shifts and compensation accounting? Or do you have to do that manually?

I've got myself a multi function printer with an adf. Everything that is in my physical inbox is scanned and put on my NAS. There is a custom program running in a container that will feed any new doc to pdfsandwich (or similar OCR tool
