Stereotypes are putting me off too - I am a male. Not sure if this can really explain why there is fewer women in tech. At the local university where I was a bit involved into the whys of fewer women it seems to be that interestingly enough

I hear that a lot. It kind of made me certain that I don't want to go for a PhD. I also frequently hear that it was a great time and that people should do it (very shortly summed up) "if they love science". But to be honest,

Disclaimer: I don't really like that site either. The author of [1] sounds really biased, given the fact that he writes about how people can't read or write, while studies[2] seem to prove that it about where the US is in that reg

An example would be multiple gestures for the same widget, which can be confusing, like a checkbox, switch or slider, etc. that brings you into a sub menu when you long-press it. That's what you see in Android's configuration. You

What defines UI / UX design? I am not a KDE user (currently). Well I use it once in a while, but compared to Windows, Mac OS (old and new), Android and iOS, which I all have used the only two things I've seen working well, as in b

OpenBSD has bsd_auth and it works well with things like googleauth (HOTP, TOTP), s/key, etc. I think the problem is that somehow everyone ended up with PAM and are now somewhat stuck with it. FreeBSD too.
