Yea, censorship is great if it aligns with your message. Politics have forced big tech to censor a lot as of late.

The cops didn't take down the videos based on copyright. A company did, but, that is apparently acceptable because companies can sensor whoever they please (or at least that is the common view on hacker news).

It makes me sad Mozilla is on the tail end of it's lifespan. Most of their funding comes from Google and their always playing catch up. Just look at their blog, it is nothing but politics. They have little focus on what their users wan

Looks like the server component is not open source? It doesn't look like it would be hard to write an open source backend. I use Dropbox and a second copy backend up to my personal server (via Dropbox cli) for photos. Owning that data
