I can echo this - our company runs off dell machines and our laptops came with these docks. Despite (in happier times) having to leave my desk frequently for meetings, with my laptop, I'd rather faff about with plugging and unplugging

I'm on a few gamedev channels (SDL), and a few of the guys there are super helpful. I don't know what they get out of it, but they always take the time to answer other peoples questions, regardless of how nonsensical or rudimentar

for me personally, I've only noticed this problem once, but I can't remember which site that was (must be one I don't visit often), but obviously your browsing habits are different to mine. I don't see any disadvantages

firefox options -> language and appearance -> advanced -> uncheck 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above'

I'm usually the first one to sneer in disbelief at super users who 'go nuclear' and disable the likes of javascript and images when browsing the web, but lately, I've been experimenting with having custom fonts disabled

I gave up on DDG after giving it a go for a year or so ... I don't know if Google prioritises Stack Overflow or what, but that's what I'm after, most of the time, and DDG just doesn't give me that.
