your employer doesn't need you ... or did the company go broke after you left? your employer uses you. big difference. your parents, your friends, your siblings, your pets need you. think about it.

The top photo shows a detonated ATM. In Germany 2022 almost 500 ATMs have been blown up or it was attempted (meaning explosion happened but money couldn't be extracted). Just to put things into perspective. https://www.tages

your explanation boils down to "russia is an aggressor and hence will aggress". i'm considering the context - so, my perspective is a little more complicated.

writing useful unit tests is not basic at all. it's only basic if it's purpose is to lift the test coverage.

sure, but that is sadly how world politics works. if the US expands nato right to the border of russia then they retaliate. ukraine fought a war against their own citizens in the eastern half when they sympathized with opening up to russia

there is a pattern starting to emerge here on hackernews of highly voted posts by people who present themselves as experts and thought leaders who shamelessly put their lack of understanding at display. it's frightening.

that's a pretty indirect contribution. if we start to boycott companies because of what is done with the taxes they pay then there won't be many companies left to use or do business with.
