I would make the contention that it is up to the company and the board of the company to decide the compensation of any of it's employees, including the CEOs. "Luck" has a lot to do with it, but it also has a lot to do with m

I believe what he was trying to say is that there is a large factor of chance involved with interviews. Therefore it should not be a signal. Not getting a job because of an interview does not mean that you are not a qualified engineer. It m

Solar and wind cannot meet demand. Neither is there enough hydro storage. The population will peak. What causes the peak? Lifting from poverty. What results? Much higher energy demand. Regardless, current demand cannot be sustained by wind

When there's no wind there's no power. Or really, when there's no wind we just turn on the gas. Also, it + solar will not meet needs.

Free things give continuous hassle. People on business don't want hassle. They pass on free except if they're very inexperienced.

Just one simple example would be that there is an untaxed amount, let's say $25k (or whatever the poverty level is) and everything above is 20%.

Find a photo you like, replicate it. Rinse and repeat. (Eventually you'll build up enough skill to be able to do something unique, or a mashup, yourself.)

I have an i7 860 as well. I've added 32GB RAM, a new 1050 (cheap, but very fast for what I do with it, panoramic stitching.) The 860 is feeling a little sluggish these days for me. My laptop is about as fast... I'm excited about t
