This isn't a new field -- there have been people who have now closed shop for longer than they were ever active. It's just the influx of a large number of interested people online that have discovered digital tech that's pus

"Signatures" on videos to prove that, yes, they are "authentic" and not AI-generated. I have no idea how it'd be enforced though.

It's a very damning thing to say, you know, if all that information management systems lead to is more information management systems.

Can't speak to that because I don't understand this use-case, but AFAIK it should be possible to modify an org agenda as long as emacs is running somewhere. It could write the current agenda to a file (in a s3 bucket, for example

You should try logseq, then. Although I'd recommend Emacs.

A web front-end is overkill -- Emacs users can use any completion framework (ivy, icomplete, vertico) with fdfind / ripgrep to get extremely powerful instantaneous search. Plus, there's no way any org features other than the basel

> I understand that emacs is a big ask for someone to learn Developing a PWA for it (basically bikeshedding) is much more painful than learning Emacs. Right now, any vim user can jump into emacs with very little friction -- Doom Emacs c

IMO it is time for private communities with restricted registrations to preserve post quality. I don't know what to do about HN though, but I'm sure they'll come up with something. Maybe every account will need to be re-ver

Thanks for the unprompted psychoanalysis. I don't have any anxiety / ADHD / any other "disorder". In fact I'm far more organized than most people. Information doesn't just "outdate" itself in a

Agreed, the glut of AI text generation programs all capitalize on the misrepresentation of what they do because "AI" holds different meanings in academic and social spheres. And it's better to have a sci-fi marketing hook.

About 4500. Not kidding. Most of it is residue from "I'll read it later" or "I haven't properly understood it" sessions that inevitably crash. I run about ~50-100 (active) tabs at any given time, and the res

This might be helpful. https://necolas.github.io/normalize.css/ Design decisions, though, are ultimately up to your taste and judgement.

This has been my experience as well. Tailwind is a good pair of support wheels, but it gets annoying after a while, and is difficult to maintain long-term.

It is possible to "group" tailwind classes. See https://gist.github.com/axeldouglas/7f45b2a862401c7b515c138e...

Make them write anything gradable in-person, while being monitored by a teacher. Cheaters gonna cheat, no matter what. This will at least get the group back to pre-conversational AI standards.

It's very sad how they had to nerf the model (AIDungeon and stuff). I don't think anything on a personal / consumer GPU could rival a really big model.
