Not a bad idea. Personally I'm fine with using pure javascript. I haven't used jquery in a long long time. But I'm sure many people would benefit from having jquery features natively.

Honestly that sort of knowledge would only be useful for a computer science college student. I don't see any real point in teaching it to high school students. Most people don't care about maximizing their sorting when Excel does

Slack and Spotify are two examples of apps that have gotten worse and worse. Slack is CPU heavy as hell. Spotify is laggy and feels like a website rather than a native app.

There's a local elementary school nearby, I see kids walk home from school everyday. I'm not sure where you are pulling that data from. A young teenager can walk/bike home by him/herself relatively safely in most of Amer

You realize children walk home from school all over the world right? This isn't something new.

I agree. I live in suburbia and I feel like I'm slowly choked out of my humanity. Can't wait to move to a damn city or somewhere with more density. America's suburbia was designed for cars and cars only. Here's an anecdo

Some things I like about ES6 1. Arrow functions are really handy: ["the", "red", "fox"].map(word => console.log(word)) is much cleaner than ["the", "red", "fox"].map(

I agree. Medium is riddled with advice articles written by "Motivational Speaker and Coach living in San Francisco" types who have never done anything consequential. It's also turned into a speaking podium for womens' ri

Hopefully this helps (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still learning about neural nets): Think of the whole neural net as a function: input * weight = output At each iteration, we feed in the input to the neural net. Then the neural

Damn, I can't imagine how many truck drivers would lose their jobs if this actually became a working thing. Maybe they still need drivers for tricky situations like going down a hill or driving in a congested area.

I disagree. I think React is a no brainer for any SPA. Try doing a full fledged SPA admin panel in pure javascript. It's madness. But with React you can separate everything else into components and it becomes clean and beautiful.

Yes, it's much simpler to have a natively React text editor, that way you can plug in the state of the <Draft> component into your other React components. See http://facebook.github.io/draft-js/docs/over

The article reads like the author has a personal hatred against Uber, it makes it hard for me to accept his opinions. Would have been better if he took a more objective look at Uber's redesign instead of taking the time to bash the CEO

Yeah, the cool thing about React is that its fairly pluggable. So stuff like server side rendering is not "React" specific but more so Node specific.

I resonate with your comment the most. I feel like Meteor fulfills two niches in the Node world * Experimental Javascript full stack framework * Providing a foundation for full stack apps instead of having the developer do it.
