3 is interesting. How could one split up twitter? What would be the separate parts?

The article makes clear more details are not given for safety reasons, which is appropriate given harassment has occurred. You can dismiss mainstream press if you like, but the point is it’s not a HN commenter being hysterical or equivalent

“Yoel Roth, Twitter’s former head of trust and safety, and his family were forced from their home after Elon Musk’s tweets misrepresented Roth’s academic writing about sexual activity and children.” https://www.washingtonpost.com

Without specifics, this isn’t a matter of comprehension skills. Broad, evidence-free claims cannot be argued with.

Sure, but what do you think is being overlooked, or presented as mainstream opinion when it arguably isn’t?

What examples of partisan leaning in the other direction would you say are being overlooked? Some other companies / CEOs?

Why do you feel it is desirable for people to work as many hours as possible? Is that how to want to live your life? Have you no other pursuits or things you care about? What is all the work for, in the end?

Understood, thank you for your reply. You make a good point about the overall problem for sure.

Well, that’s one way to respond I suppose. I don’t have the connections to Apple or Android teams to make this possible, so I did the only thing I could: tried to make this helpful idea more visible. Foolish me for not keeping quiet I suppo

Nothing. For short breaks (10-15 mins), nothing. Make a drink, go for a walk. Let your mind relax for a while. If it feels boring and you’re itching for distraction, do it for longer.

Hello. I read your post but it was deleted before I had a chance to respond. There was a lot in there, which makes sense because you’re talking about life. In brief I would say a few things: 1. Don’t count yourself out. On anything. Ever. W

I subscribe to NYT. It’s high quality reportage, including holding power to account. I want such things to continue to exist. I don’t want such things to be entirely reliant on the whims of advertisers and billionaires.

Pricing something beyond its marginal cost of delivery is a restriction on your freedom? I suppose it’s true, in the way not being allowed to punch someone is a restriction on your freedom.

It’s a good analogy and I do understand the perspective. But I think it is very convenient that it applies to the work these people want to consume (which should be free), and not to the work they perform (which should be paid). Why should

Honestly, congratulations on your talent and good fortune. Did you have the choice in giving your work away or was it made for you?

True, but we’re not talking about generally available information like wikipedia, we’re talking about people’s work who didn’t expect it to end up like this. Should they have a say in it? If not, why not? And if you just mean information, d

You think books having a cost is a restriction of your freedom? Why? And why books, but not your work?

That’s your spare time. I’m talking about people’s jobs. Would you sacrifice your primary income so that people could enjoy your work for free?

In the name of that ideal, would you be willing for your work to be given away for free and for your income to vanish?

Relax, be kind to yourself. The finance analogy isn’t right, because debt is something you have to pay and these things, or at least most of them, don’t require you to do anything. If you have too many emails to get through, yes, unsubscrib

Where does it say anything about creating an account via Google or FB? Or creating an account at all? (Except for on itch.io, which is a suggestion for hosting rather than Ink itself, and also doesn't seem to require Google or FB).
