I guess both the camera and the image need keys. (But really I have no idea this stuff is out of my realm!)

So it seems like image generation/deepfake proliferation is pretty inevitable. I imagine we can't trust any image anymore (for e.g. identification verification purposes) unless it is done in person or otherwise notarized somehow.

I swore off arch when an update surprised me by switching to systemd (years ago obviously) and trashing my system in the process

For the reference...there was an app (I think it's banned on all the stores now?) that used the phone's sensors to record its hangtime when thrown in the air (pending it survived the landing, I guess). I think there was a scoreboa

Can confirm. At one point in my career (after reflection on the situation) I realized I had been made a champion by a subsidiary of IBM for one of their products. I found myself in some really bizarre meetings with our execs and their execu

shrug Didn't need more channels then and don't need them now. Guess I could buy 6 of these for the same cost (probably less factoring in inflation) if I ever do

It's kind of bizarre to think about all the audio struggles from the past and "good" (not actually) things like SB, and today with my truly fantastic, ~$25 usb dongle that blows it all out of the water with ease (32 bit, 448k

On my (fedora) system I can ping 127.anything and the host responds. I think in practice it is indeed implemented. I haven't used windows/macos in a very long time but I think the same applies. (Also in fedora by default systemd-r

I mean I sort of get it. When you aren't taking objective data (I don't know what that would even be, brain scans or testing for levels of neurotransmitters, if those levels even mean anything..?) then what can you do besides ackn

I usually keep js disabled by default with uBO and enable it per-site when it fails. Not terribly inconvenient (worst is auth workflows that bounce you through a few domains, but just save your settings as you go through it and you would on

I think you're right with having a two-browser setup and I actually want to give it a spin. I envision I'll need to change some habits but it really does seem like the cleanest way to go about it.

In the ballpark (very much my own opinion, I don't know what the heck is actually happening and of course it's 100% subjective). There's the shock part for sure, and it's definitely much more gradual than the rocketship

Holotropic breathwork style sessions are known to go for 3 hours and can result in some pretty wild physiological responses. In the ballpark of a 5-meo-dmt/bufo experience.

Why don't distros flip more of these switches? Are there cons of being more aggressive with these settings? It's really a lot for many people to tinker with.
