Yes, I've also never heard it being given that nickname either at first. I found it at near-random when looking up "White Book" [0] on Wikipedia. [0]: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_book

The consistent pattern I've noticed is that the books gain their nickname (usually) from the cover of the 1st Edition of the Book. Acronyms can count too!
