It will actually not be used anymore, because firefox avoids your local DoH setup.

It's worse, because the local ISP is more trustworthy and additionally you enable cloudflare for large scale profiling. And don't claim they won't do it, it's just a matter of time

wireshark or wireguard? They are related, but not exactly the same...

There are no official ties between Alpine Linux and ungleich.ch. We at ungleich are simple people liking simple systems. And we think it is important to support systems that are not mainstream. That's why we endorse Alpine Linux.

I agree with you on that one. It is certainly an advantage, if the interface to manage aspects of different Linux distributions is the same.

I don't think being angry at anyone will solve the problem. Using and advocating non-systemd distributions might help much more.

From what I observe, the hate from systemd USERS towards non-systemd advocates is higher than the hate of non-systemd advocates to systemd.

I have the same getting stuck problems plus resolving issues as soon as systemd-resolved is in the game

I also think upstart was a bit nuts... but how do you think about openrc vs systemd?

Simplicity mostly. It just works. It feels so clean, nothing running there that is not supposed to be there. Installing something takes only sub-seconds, because packages are small. Alpine really is a beauty.

I think the main problem is not the init process, but the tooling around it that breaks systems. For instance systemd-resolved did break local resolving some years ago (maybe still today). While it is optional, ubuntu installations come wit

I've actually tried it on my new notebook a few days ago, it runs quite nice: https://www.nico.schottelius.org/blog/alpine-linux-on-the-hp...
