You mean just like all those conspiracy theories that said that Epstein was engaged in child sex trafficking on his private island?

Based on the scuttlebutt I've been hearing from Navy insiders, this is just the tip of the iceberg, and the entire organization is a mess right now.

> I believe if you really want to undermine superdeterminism as a theory (or as a philosophy), the more relevant question here to ask is: is there anything useful/meaningful about reality (or the universe) that can be inferred assum

Superdeterminism is a self-defeating philosophy. In essence, it cedes everything to random chance, and makes all scientific inquiry meaningless. There is no longer any "why" or "how." There is merely, "That's j

All you have to do is focus either on nothing at all, or focus intensely at one specific point. Saccades will stop.

I'm already on T-Mobile. I'm for this mostly because the Sprint network plugs some significant holes for me in places I travel, like northwest Iowa. When they put their cross-roaming agreement into effect earlier this year, I sudd

Netflix is becoming more and more of a frustrating experience. First they removed all user reviews. Then they removed ratings. (or vice versa. Whatever.) They constantly shift things around in their UI. Even things like "My List"

This is very difficult at present. Most methods of doing something like this rely upon spectral analysis of the target you wish to remove, and then use FFT decomp/recomp to subtract the result. The results are poor. Someone mentioned t

I was using QuickBasic before there was a QBasic. (QuickBasic compiled to an executable for those who are unfamiliar with it.) Made some money with it as a teen programmer. I built a menuing system modeled after Automenu (by Magee Enterpris

And the criticism is completely invalid here. The power spec is very clear and unambiguous, and there is only one way to get it right. It is not the fault of the spec when manufacturers cannot be bothered to produce a circuit that has alrea

If that is all you are after, then the most efficient codec of all is compressed text, and the player a text-to-speech engine.

My company has over 200 of them, and it's rare to see one closed, so your dead wrong. I drive 2 27" 4K screens with mine, and leave the laptop open as a third screen.

I was responding to someone lamenting the fact that they stream in Opus instead of Flac. There is zero advantage to be gained from streaming in Flac. So why the lament? If they store archival quality, they wouldn't ever be streaming it

It's not such a PITA anymore. Most distros have automated build systems to create VM images from a config file. For example, we use FAI + Ansible to entirely automate the creation of a Debian AMIs for AWS, deployment, and provisioning.
