Which is not really sufficient because negative comments can be deleted, commenters can be blocked & comments can disabled for a video entirely.

People cannot “earn” $60B, they can work hard and smart but luck is always the key multiplier in reaching astronomical success.

RPi accomplished something really cool, probably got a lot of people into electronics hacking and linux that weren’t before (like me). There are plenty of competitors making higher and lower end alternatives now at varying degrees of open s

Yeah but it's not really a contract, the code of conduct clearly doesn't obligate Google to do anything. It's just a list of basic rules & policies like every other company has, its purpose is to put a bunch of rules in w

It probably has way more to do with quality & reliability. You could treat a 4Runner like absolute shit for a decade and it would probably have more quality miles & years left in it than most other makes (much less American vehicles

That price is not even cheap, grocery stores have rice at a much lower unit price in much smaller packages. Dollar store rice is likely in between them and still a very solid calorie deal. There is still a requirement that one has time, equ

I don’t think that was supposed to be the bottom example, it’s half as expensive per unit at Target for 2 lb bags.

Can also see this by finding basically any product on Amazon and then being suggested like 30 competitors offering the same the same thing made in the same factory.

This for sure. Been wearing a particular brand of socks for the last few years, a little more expensive. They fit great but I’m not sure they last any longer than my cheap ones did. There are also plenty of items that will be treated as dis

I would pay this to kill the promoted tweets. I know it sounds super tin-foil hat but in the days or weeks leading up to Twitter's earnings reports the promoted tweets are absolutely out of control. This year I took screenshots of my f

I don’t know much about crypto but I know it costs like $75-150 to send any amount of ethereum, maybe more? Can anyone tell me why it would be a top choice for some random integration right now?

In a short search I didn't find any indication that this was one of the infamous "National Security Letters" that comes with a gag order.

Maybe the correct response to unconstitutional, secret warrants is to refuse to comply, maybe even refuse to respond? It's not clear to me what would happen next but I can't imagine Pichai would be arrested. Maybe a datacenter wou

Roku should drop the API and just scrape YouTube from the client side. What's Google going to do, block everyone's home IP?

We print money for bombs & bailouts because there is a valuable enough carrot for our policy makers. Maybe we can think of a carrot (or better yet a stick) that would stop those things and start printing money for things like education,

You are right that a fine is a real penalty but that’s not the real problem. The problem is that someone who committed the same crime but has less money wouldn’t qualify for this option.

Line of reasoning doesn't seem to account for ICU occupancy levels & reduces outcomes to simply "lived" vs "died" without looking at sub-outcomes under "lived" category.
