These generations tend to be three years apart though, so if you're buying as the new generation comes out then your total TCO period has you running almost peak hardware (there were several versions of the V100, each with minor improv

Yeah, definitely, but I think it's important to talk about scale of that win. I mentioned in another comment that the GPU generation is roughly three years between major architecture upgrades- this has held true for a bit now, and that

They are not the same at all. AWS has the best GPU instances right now but there's some huge differences in networking speed. The P3 instances have 400Gbps per machine, with 8 GPUs on each machine. If you were to self host a cluster us

Major GPU architecture changes only happen every few years. * k80 - 2014, and this really was not that great of a chip. * v100 in 2017, and I'd consider this the first "built from the ground up" ML chip. * A100 in late 2020,

The person you're responding to never said it was without risk, just that vaping isn't the same as smoking- and the scientific literature backs this statement up. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30049223/ >

This still is pretty positive- it seems like it can be used as carbon capture inside of existing plants that produce CO2 as a byproduct. It isn't going to solve climate change but it could give us another tool to use.

It's important to note that the chemicals they tested with were the cannabinoid acids (CBDA, THCA). When smoking or cooking those acids are converted via decarboxylation. These final chemicals were not part of this study. In other wo

This case is explicitly about US Law and how it contradicts the EU law. According to this case, as long as US law allows the US government to force US companies to share data with the US Government then you can't share data with those
