I thought I would hate it but I am also fine with it, I prefer not getting my wires tangled on other commuters (which happened more that I would have liked!)

Am I reading it right? If you want to manage the memory allocation yourself you can. Why not just pre-allocate a lost of objects and re-use / free those? Think I'm missing something

How common are get time calls so that they would actually be an issue? I've worked on quite a few systems and can't think of a time where an api for getting the time would have been called so much that it would affect performance?

I have to use WebObjects at work, it might have been good in its time but it is awful now. The biggest problem is that we aren't allowed (political bs) use the open source fork so can't use things like a shared session :(

Seems odd, someone gets (scrapes??) data from amazon - complains about someone scraping data from them. Or is amazon sharing data and they have it legitimately? Either way it is a funny world we live in now!

Dev jobs in the U.K. tend to be very skills focused so a devops engineer with ansible, could easily get up to £90k. There are also a lot of terrible devs and £30-£40 is about the right mark and lots of companies will hire people who are rub
