I did not expect to see another islander on here. I saw a tool or report a few years ago that would show how much of the island would remain with different sea level rises but I cannot find it now.

I would think that Monsanto's patents are quite different. They use plant breeding to create new varieties. These patents of Myriad Genetics are just using DNA sequencing to find existing genes.

Some languages use pronouns differently. Dutch people sometimes use "he" or "she" when referring to objects even when speaking English, because they are used to doing that in Dutch. So it could be that English is not his

"Shit research" is not equal to negative findings. In fact it may be the opposite. I suspect most bad research has the positive findings the researchers are looking for.
