if you’re asking, you should most definitely NOT. if your concern is cost of many mailboxes, it’s rather trivial to have a wildcard mailbox at the provider (ie, one account that all mail is dumped into) and split it into multiple mailboxes

meh. i mean ok yes this does kill the tracking (although i can imagine how to be more devious) but i already very easily do this with ghostery. i suppose it’s great for the 90% of “default settings” users. because a solution (many) is alr

hope is not an effective strategy. ordering at all is actually likely to defeat your hope. ironic, isn’t it.

in my area (bay area) you have to place the order at midnight. that is when the next time slots open up.

iMessage isn’t mainstream enough for you?
109.
by techslave 7y ago
yes, possible. it’s still called price gouging.
110.

by techslave 7y ago
that would be an epoch, not a nonce. it’s still awful

and F1 tires only last a few laps . it’s all designed in. the F1 engines don’t expire in a few races because they can’t build them more robust, they expire in a few races because the rules require them to last that long . they could last

they aren’t gouging. gouging is a reaction to a disaster or event of some sort. hospitals always charge the absurd prices.

they had a very large presence at RSAC 2020. i was very confused by it. they are not security software. however i suppose there are no “configuration management “ tradeshows

in my defense, i wasn’t dismissing his work. i was wondering why it merits HN attention. it’s completely ordinary stuff. the world needs ordinary stuff but this isn’t buzznews “the 3 surprising tricks about zfs snapshots”.
