Bear in mind, with a lot of different types of medications, they're required to report severe reactions found during trials and use... even if those reactions were very specific to that individual (genetic predisposition, for example).

If you're going to split a 1x PCIe lane into two M2 slots, you might as well save the cash and get a Pi4 and use two USB3 thumbdrives instead. The performance would be about equal by that point.
