I think my cheap choice of wireless charger is to blame; I'll have to try this out again with something more legitimate.

From my short experience with wireless charging, I'm not a fan of the overheating issues and its definitely the reason why I wouldn't choose to use this over connecting a cable directly.

Personally I've always liked the simple query language Graphd/freebase had. I'm interested to see how the performance is like in comparison to other triple stores

Um, is there something specific about NIST's github org you wanted to highlight?

I don't get why you are getting downvoted. For that price, you could easily get a few pounds of the spices needed to cook those foods.

Let me preface that I like the concept and it definitely makes it easier to introduce some folks to actually cooking this food at some point down the line. That said, I don't understand how you have this much salt in these packs. I

No, but I can see why you would think I meant that. I didn't cite my sources, probably why I got downvoted a bunch; Racking my brain to remember that company's name but it essentially looked like a whitelabel version of hangouts (

Its not atypical for Google to do this, for instance Google Hangouts is actually a licensed software deal and not something in-house (albeit not the greatest example).

Its an interesting project, I know that there are a ton of crawler projects but I think that focusing on the data extraction & triage is where this project differs from the rest. Kudos to the author for the great work, I'll certain

I think I have an answer to that first question; Altruistically I'd like to think its to help facilitate more ml engineers and scientists. Realistically, amongst the other reasons noted by everyone else, its a way to attract enterprise

I had the same thought, while geohashes provide a computational speedup this project doesn't seem to be more than a glorified spreadsheet rather than a point-in-polygon search

That's great, sorry that Amazon is screwing you this way. I'll direct my students to your Gumroad listing then.

I bought a physical copy of your book as a teaching aid for some kids I help tutor, its really great! I can't imagine why Amazon could justify blocking the Kindle version, maybe (and this is a stretch) the scanned content may have trig

I concur, its difficult to get funding for this type of research without having a tangible way to benefit your potential benefactors. From personal experience, I've had to work on numerous applications that I didn't really care fo

Not to dismiss your point, but outrage on the internet is like a car wreck, its terrible that it happened but everyone on the road still wants to check it out and put their 2 cents in.

On a related note, we've always had the constant outrage, its the internet that allowed it to become more apparent.

I relate with the latter part of your story. A company I helped found had an uneven equity split. I was focused on building our platform out and didn't really care about the equity after we set the initial split; Because I was so naive

I concur, the author of the post doesn't even talk about their own backups but assumes DO does it for them. I personally love DO but I'm not about to skip over my own security & resiliency measures.

I thought he was using Discourse for his forum? Its not like I'm taking a shot at Discourse, I was just saying that it might be worthwhile to tack on an export function that is user facing to mitigate the onslaught of requests. [edit]:

Well that sucks, I wonder if this means other discourse instances might be hit with the same GDPR letters? There'll probably be someone who has (or will have) forked discourse to make these changes.

Wish there was a small demo to try but it looks great; It kind of reminds me of the same type of sandbox/experimentation environment you get with Tensorflow Playground (albeit not constrained to a few sample sets of data). I look forwa
