There are dozens of studies that support plant-based diets as reducing all-cause mortality. THIS study is the outlier, and thus demands a pretty high burden of proof.

In my experience there's not much risk of having a "huge bloated mess" so write more rather than less. I keep all my work-related knowledge in just a single flat text file, which after four years at my current company is just

Agreed. This article, while interesting enough, is clearly written by someone who is not an addict and does not have close/intimate relationships with any addicts. "In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, whi

I wish more people understood this. I spent the first twenty years of my career as a public school teacher, and the last four as a software engineer. Most of the teachers I knew worked _literally_ twice as hard as the average software engin

Look, I absolutely encourage questioning religion and the Bible, but this particular hill is not one I suggest you die on. Genesis chapter 11 (allegedly) recounts the lineage of Abram. Shem (who was on the ark) lived to be 600. His son Arph

Python _absolutely_ has lambdas and functional programming. And I would argue that concurrency, at least, has no business in a textbook for true beginners.

I guess it depends on your definition of "at scale" but IMO with Hashicorp's stuff and maybe something like Backstage you get all the benefits k8s but in a package that's much simpler to reason about and manage.

You should check out The Tassajara Bread Book by Edward Espe Brown; it's a masterwork of clear technical writing. The first basic recipe is expanded over 20+ pages, explaining not only what to do but _why_.
