I did the same. What really ruined the product for me was the “X who you follow liked this”. If I wanted that shit I’d follow the person.

Events have died completely in my circle. It’s a WhatsApp group for parties now - appreciate the irony, but everyone also has 4 or 5 messaging apps so switching could happen quickly if prompted.

Worth looking at Elixir Phoenix Channels if you’re wanting to use sockets. Handle a lot of the messy stuff for you. https://hexdocs.pm/phoenix/channels.html

I bought a SACD player for classical - the dynamic range on Vinyl is just not enough to really do justice to a good orchestral recording, and I say this as a Vinyl DJ. It's great! I got a Sony SACD player for about €140 off ebay. New c

You’d be surprised how many boring/conventional influencers there are out there with huge followings. People who literally are just doing up a house or something incredibly benign.

We put all our purchases on credit cards here in the UK (London) - but pay them off monthly. Amex Gold and Barclays Platinum Visa (it has 0 overseas fees, but a bit of a stingy limit. mostly just used where Amex isn't accpeted). Amazon
