A GmbH is not like an LLC, it's more like a Delaware C-Corp. People forget this all the time.

Important to realize: A GmbH is much closer to a Delaware C-Corp than to an LLC.

I have founded a company in Germany in 2004 and sold it to Google in 2011. I started an AG in Switzerland in 2019 and organized a Delaware-Flip therafter. Most of the described steps are also necessary for a Delaware incorporation, and I fo

You don't need a PR campaign to oust Sundar. I think 7 out of 10 Googlers would agree that Sundar is uninspiring and has allowed the erosion of most of what was good about Google's culture. I left partially because I hated the fee

The reality is that Rowhammer remains one of the hardest ways to compromise a machine, largely because the software stack most people are running isn't great.

Yes and no. A simple frame pointer needs to be present in all libraries, and depending on build settings, this might not be the case. .eh_frame tends to be emitted almost everywhere... So it's both similarly fragile, but one is almost

Parca is open-source, Prodfiler's eBPF code is GPL, and the rest of Prodfiler is currently going through OTel donation, so my point is: There's now multiple FOSS implementations of a more generic and powerful technique.

As much as the return of frame pointers is a good thing, it's largely unnecessary -- it arrives at a point where multiple eBPF-based profilers are available that do fine using .eh_frame and also manually unwinding high level language r

eBPF has only recently become less bounded, at 4.15 for example it was still very bounded ;). (I assume you mean maximum # of instructions etc?)

In theory, yes. In practice pretty much all useful applications need to call kernel APIs that mandate the eBPF code being GPL.

Can you explain what you mean when you say "it transfers wealth to asset owners"? My understanding of wealth is assets, so the phrasing doesn't make sense to me. I think you mean to say imply that wages don't increase,

The outsize quant returns are to be viewed with a grain of salt: The strategies that quant funds run are often capacity-constrained, so if they do 20-40% a year, it is non-compounding . That matters.
