As far as I know training is the main issue. I don't know a lot about ML. Does anyone know if it is possible to keep training the system while it is running? That would help a lot if you don't have the possibility to use huge trai

This is a 'temporary' law that will be reconsidered after 4 years (most of the time this means it will just be continued). The CTIVD will have supervision during and after the tab (good). Private data can be held much longer witho

On Firefox mobile I got a score of 3. So while Firefox is now super fast the performance of webapps might still be very bad on mobile. And I think this applies to all modern browsers: they are fast at rendering very slow webapps and website

Deep learning is still not production ready. Maybe 90% of the results are great, but the other 10% are not only 'not great' but plain wrong and sometimes even dangerous. And I think gp posts is also showing that the last bump to m

The Bible is obviously not older than Buddhism but some texts are. And they contain references to meditation. Maybe the author could have used Buddhism as reference, but wouldn't he than have to reference Hinduism too? I mean: it seems

Well it's a book review about a specific book. So I don't see why bringing in Buddhism would be relevant in this case. But related to this: the oldest Bible books are older than Buddhism. And they also contain references to medita

Insomnia did the same. There was an option to migrate to an offline account but the migration did not work. So I turned to Bruno. I have been happy with it but there are some strange issues. Sometimes it does not save settings when I press

Why 3000 BC? Isn't it true that if we applied today's knowledge it could also be built millions of years ago? I can understand it means something like: it could be built with tools and materials they had 3000 BC, but isn't it

It's very simple to create a similar effect in post. For example blur the image where the blur radius is high at the top and bottom of the image and zero at the center. Of course this does not take depth into account but simulated the

Sometimes I can understand this because banks work with old software that just has these restrictions. But modern apps: just give us Unicode support. And maybe a limit of 255 characters, but not less.

I have seen a lot of (eldery) people try to slide the toggle but then nothing happens. So while your at it: also make it possible to slide the toggle. Or just use checkboxes.

Artifacts are ugly. So why force it on modern hardware when GPUs are extremely fast? For reference: I was doing a path tracer in PHP :) so yeah, that renders like ancient hardware. (The browser requested different buckets of an image. A PHP

Once I tested lookup tables for a path tracer (ray tracer). It is interesting that you can get very decent results even with low quality tables. Of course there will be artifacts but due to the randomness of a path tracer this is not always

Also true, but China is spying on their own people already. I would not be surprised if Chinese EVs are sending data to the government. So the tech is there. And then it comes to trust. Will they not send data when they sell cars outside Ch

Not only that, there are also big concerns when it comes to spying. Huawei's net gear is alread being replaced with brands like Nokia and Ericsson. And car tech is becoming much more advanced so that it can also be used to spy on peopl

If you don't need an enclosure I would go for a Bambulab A1-serie. Those printers are really how 3D printing should be. After owning different printers I really believe that Bambulab is for printing and all other brands for tinkering.

Very easy: don't set a size and use em units in your CSS. font-size: 1em; Imho it's also much better to use em units for margins and paddings because this will make everything look like it belongs together, even for users t

In The Netherlands we suddenly have too much power because a lot of houses and buildings now generate solar power. That's why there is a need to reconduct the net with high temperature cables. But the main problem is planning and time.
