Yeah, it's hard to have sympathy for Google on this one. It's literally corporate virtue signaling that's blowing up in their faces.

My idea for solving this revolves around the same concept as the "Snooze" feature in Gmail. When saving, estimate the timeframe you hope to read it: 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, "someday". Then condition yourself

I don't think that's necessarily true. The economics of online dating seem fairly straightforward. Given a pool of men that are willing to speak to them, women will focus their attention on the highest value men in that pool. U

This same comment posted 3 or 4 months ago would have been downvoted into oblivion. Now it's the top comment on this article. It's good to see peoples' perspective is becoming more reasonable on this issue.

I'm genuinely happy that SF is seeing peaceful protests, but I spent 2 weeks driving through National Guard checkpoints in my city due to violent unrest, and I'm aware of at least 5 other cities who were similarly affected. Minim

Sure, I've actually used that analogy before myself, so I can't judge your use of it :) My point was that in this case, people are expecting lockdown to stop the reaction entirely, when in fact the control rods are only intended t

I've heard this many times but I don't understand the thinking behind it. How could a lockdown shorten the duration of a pandemic? AFAIK there's only three ways a pandemic ends: (1) eradication: we control the spread so eff
