The link you posted said that a lot more black people were lynched than white people and also that many of the white people lynched were lynched for just helping black people. It really makes it sound like it was primarily racially motivate

That's a very apples to oranges comparison. Dog allergies aren't deadly and there are interchangeable snacks (most flights nowadays have pretzels in my experience), is not like you could give someone a different hypoallergenic dog

Wouldn't removing CDA force tech companies into more censorship, not less? Where is the elegance with that approach? Here's the EFF on the importance of CDA 230 for people not familiar with it: https://www.eff.org/

This doesn't sound good. The government choosing what's on my feed is way worse than Silicon Valley companies doing that. I've switched companies over not liking my feeds but it's much harder to do that with governments.

It's not like the current system allocated wealth well. Every system redistributes wealth (including the current one).

The problem for 8chan wasn't having bad users, every place has those, it was the specific way which it enabled them. Reddit or Facebook make effort to take down extremist threats, which puts them in a different league altogether. I

Yeah but on the other hand you shouldn't be able to shout fire in a crowded theater so you need some censorship. As with like 99% of political arguments is about finding the line because the absolutist arguments generally end up kinda

The pride some people have in their ability to tolerate bad conditions is a little silly. I don't understand how you can look down on people who want a better work environment

I once worked at a place that had a mile of walking paths through an adjacent prairie. I walked it every day that the weather was nice and it was amazing. I was so sad when I changed jobs and the office was in the city.

I think if you take into account sales and inflation games are just cheaper now so it's less if a big deal. Also with all the reviews and twitch streams it's super easy to get a ton of information about a game. Edit: I'll gen

Gender and political ideology are very different. They're the same in that they are generally social constructs but the reasons people align with one or the other and how society views them isn't the same.

I was blown away when someone told me they wanted a natural diamond. It seemed crazy to me, I don't get why someone would want to pay more for an identical (except for the fact that it was likely mined unethically) stone. I don't
