The thing I've always hated about eggs is that invariably something that uses an egg won't have the permissions to write to the default egg cache. It has gotten to the point now that if I know something is going to install an egg, I just do

Damn, I could get the whole Internet if I could just pick "have sex for procreation" but procreating would almost certainly be worse than losing the "fun" Internet. You've created the impossible question .

46% of women and 30% of men would give up sex for two weeks instead of giving up access to the Internet for the same period. That's slightly different than the implied, "Sex; Interwebs; choose one!" A more interesting question would have

Considering how low the intelligence level of TC commenters has sunk, I'm beginning to believe it's actually detrimental to be featured on the site. I thought Duck Duck Go was interesting last time I looked at it and it seems to still be so

I kept reading because I'm not easily offended. Then the words "chica" and "bonk" offended me. Even out of context. Sorry :(

Ah, so you'd rather have one established technology to circumvent than numerous being worked on in parallel. Gotcha. I will stick with my irrational assumption that the Internet at large is safe from this shit, at least until I'm too old to

Not signing up for cryonics - what does that say? That you've lost hope in the future. That you've lost your will to live. That you've stopped believing that human life, and your own life, is something of value. No, it's because I valu

Herd mentality strikes again. I didn't think this was a big deal when he wrote the original post and I still don't think it's a big deal after this follow-up.

When the entire economy tanks, sure, it's going to take some businesses with it. There's a difference, though, when your business is so reliant on the poor choices that got us into this mess that it goes out of business practically over nig

What were you expecting? Things were always going to get worse before they got better. This is the restructuring of a global economy that had become far too reliant on debt. More companies and industries will go under; more jobs will be los

I wasn't exactly whining, but in the spirit of this idiotic argument, I'd say you got lucky. They didn't like you, so no need to like them. Now they're dead. You won.

It's not that Windows (XP SP2+) is bad per-se, it's just that the alternatives (OSX, Linux, BSD, etc.) are much better for nearly all use cases of the technically savvy. Unless you're doing Windows development, of course. Or own a Zune.
