Perhaps something like TLA+ or PlusCal specs could be the specs in terms of 'specs are the new code'.

I think getting a model to do this without hurting alignment significantly will be very difficult.

At the time that there's something as good as sonnet 4.5 available locally, the frontier models in datacenters may be far better. People are always going to want the best models.

Compared to 2025 github yeah I do think most self-hosted CI systems would be more available. Github goes down weekly lately.

It’s losing market share because it doesn’t keep up with supporting the latest web standards.

jj is not just a simpler UI. Its rebase is fundamentally more powerful than git, it has things like the operation log, first class conflicts, etc… that git doesn’t have.

There is a new VCS that is a step forward (while being compatible with git). It’s called jujutsu.

In JJ you make a bunch of changes and then you split the commit into multiple commits.

I was a big fan of a good keyboard-driven git TUI like magit, neogit, lazygit, etc... (as long as you learn the CLI first and understand it). Now I no longer directly use git, but instead use jujutsu (jj). Once I became very proficient in t

If you give people glasses instead of solo cups, I find that partygoers will tend to treat your house with a lot more care and respect. We have a set of glasses that have little black stickers on them that are a material that works well wit

I really love the following things that I can do with kitty: - Access the scrollback buffer in neovim - Access the last command output in neovim - Animated cursor trails. It sounds dumb at first but I find that when sharing my screen, the c

Gradle is the single most confusing build system tool of all time. It’s so bad. I agree that other than JetBrains everything else about it sucks ass.

When was the last time you tried react native? It’s pretty good now that they finally completed the transition to the New Architecture. With Expo it’s pretty nice these days.

With expo DOM components it’s easy to just use this library and expo will wrap it in a webview. Then you can easily integrate it into a RN app.

Neovim is my favorite editor and is a brilliant TUI. I think what TUIs get right is that they are optimized for use by the keyboard. I don’t care if they are a pain for devs to write vs OS APIs, they have the best keyboard control so I use
