Imagine an app that allows you to buy a 3D toy painted as the child's drawing. Based on parents I know, it would sell well.

You could point to government programs where the initial cost paid for itself many times over: the interstate highways system, the GI Bill, telecommunications and science grants, even renewable energy investments. How much of the US's

The 'crowding out' theory is quite controversial. Data has shown that fiscal consolidation (austerity) has a contractionary effect: https://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/wp/2013/wp1301.pd

Regardless of nominal debt, the US will never declare bankruptcy. There is no reason to. Our debt is denominated in a dollars, which we have the ability to collect in taxes, or print.

This is actually a currency trade. Switzerland was forced to devalue against the Euro once. It may happen again.

Margins will shrink to the point where economies of scale prevail. If garment workers tried this, it would probably not take long before they get priced out of business.

Even 100 basis points is below inflation. It's hard to see a reason to keep more than an emergency fund in a savings account.

A national property tax might be "progressive" at the city level. I'm not sure if this is desirable or not, but it might create an incentive for development in other cheaper/value locales.

I imagine a study would be warranted, if one does not already exist. If a statistically significant link could be established, why not run tests? How much does it cost to have an MRI performed? How does it compare to the lifetime medical

It's unfortunate that students are encouraged to report 'suspicious' things, but not 'exceptional'. Only bad things can come of it, never good.

I see some mixed data on Ireland. A quick search shows an unemployment rate that just crossed below 10% in April. From 2000-2008, the unemployment rate ranged 4-5% (with very high unemployment in the 80s and 90s). http://www.tra

This is a gray area. If we allowed a large automaker to go bankrupt, we probably would have lost the supply chain and many supporting industries which would be gone (from the US) forever. Same with banks. As much as we detest bailing out
