   Google could not feasibly track their user-base this way. The load time for a Flash application that returns font lists (though short) is much longer than they, or their users would tolerate.

   These are great additions to my iPad (especially Backgrounder). To others interested, the PalmPre-esque application switcher is pretty wonky with the iPad, and causes problems with Backgrounder for me.

    I have to disagree about the quality of the composition of the article. While the topic is interesting and even a bit redeeming for TC, the writing falls short of good journalism. I'm not sure mobile networks will ever go the way of the web

    Not to mention their analysis is skewed. Could they not have compared the browser shares circa a major FF release? FF3 usage was way up, then declined slowly.
