Yes, and in prod I have a recover() handler that sends me an email with stack trace. Haven't gotten one in a few years...

The idea is interesting, but a Javascript filesystem sounds awful.

The first thing I would love to see is Borges. Specifically, his Library of Babel. I love listening to Borges audiobooks while on heavy doses of mushrooms, so I have a pretty vivid visualization of all of them already, but it would be great

I wish Stackoverflow included "daily operating system" in their surveys, but I'd wager that 50%+ of professional developers use MacOS. For many reasons probably, but for me it's simply because it's a nice BSD system

I just finance directly with Apple. They offer the iPhone 15 Pro for $1000 or 24 monthly payments of $42. With 7% inflation you'd actually save ~$150 doing the monthly payments.

I'm guessing they ditched that idea because it wouldn't absolve the "writer" of PCI compliance, since the information has to pass through RAM.

Acme is genuinely worth trying, you can run it on Linux/Mac without a VM [1]. I'm pretty sure Russ Cox [2] and Rob Pike use it as their daily driver which is insane because it doesn't even have syntax highlighting. I used it

I agree as someone who's wanted to develop an iOS app for years but can't get over the App Store monopoly risk. But, from a business sense, doesn't it seem like they're doing it backwards? Why not make a best-in-class AI

I agree. I wonder if the AI-aspect muddled things, like engineers saying "we just need more data for <x feature>, let's push for a cheap product and iterate fast"...

I think the difference is that Minecraft alpha/beta was fun and actually promised very little. I paid for the beta (used cracked clients before then, when I was 12) and enjoyed it for what it was, I couldn't have cared less about

I don't use S3, but it's kind of insane that unauthorized requests contribute to your bill... couldn't a bored/malicious actor with a botnet just spam common bucket names?

I meant the Studio Display. Most of the Pro phones/ipads/macbooks are 120hz now with high DPI. But the Studio Display is stuck at 60hz.

What about mutts? Would be cool if dog physiognomy is so advanced it could identify distinct breed percentages. Then we could apply it to humans. That would be useful!
