One of the reasons Prop 13 happened was to go hand in hand with rent control and help offset the negative costs of rent control. (An advantage for the owner and renter). So I think you'd need to get rid of rent control to get rid of Pr

Your links say it well - being a naysayer is kinda pointless. Realistically the first iteration will never be perfect. You got to start somewhere and then keep iterating until you understand your challenges better and come up with better so

If the beach is open to the public, the likelihood that people will respect the markers seems very low. This is a good example of a law that is generally unenforceable unless he hires people to watch.

I like the law that you proposed. I think likely the laws on how beaches are public need to be clarified. Why are they public only up to the high tide line? That seems difficult to enforce. Not very informed on this topic - but why isn'

This is an interesting point. But it really just points how silly it is to only make a beach public up to the high tide line. The public doesn't generally know where that line is anyway. Either they are allowed to use the beach or not.

That makes sense though. Imagine it cost $1000 to visit the beach, opened only 4a-5a and had no clear signage. That's pretty useless. The requirements should be clear.

If they were viable competitors like Instagram, Whatsapp or even Snapchat, FB would try to buy them out and become monopoly-like again. But there is no perception that the gov should question these mergers for this industry.

The R1a haplogroup is found throughout India, primarily in the North. It is also found primarily in Eastern Europe. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-v6YlXJXhMvk/UJDwo_oAemI/AAAAAAAABR... So there is some type of link but

I think its just the opposite - young people generally have a higher risk tolerance and would only be at an advantage against older investors when it comes to the most innovative and new investments that they may have insight into.

If UBI is paid for with inflation than prices will go up to capture an equivalent in value. If UBI is paid for by increased taxes then all businesses will need to raise prices.

If UBI truly is basic income that is livable then labor costs will go up, and thus production costs go up.

Anecdotally, it seems to me that couples, particularly those that have kids are more likely to move outside of cities and accept a longer commute to live in larger or safer homes ore better schools. Not that they move to small cities per sa

Most of the people who move to cities seem to be single and young when they do. It doesn't seem so much about couples per say - but just individuals in general who want better job mobility.

Increasing supply doesn't necessarily devalue your investment. When the large single family mansions on 5th Ave in Manhattan were slowly replaced by skyscrapers, the value of their land went up. That would be unthinkable today though.

No that's a lie. No one on /r/btc supports that name. It's official name is Bitcoin Cash by its supporters.

There were about 11 hard forks to Bitcoin before Bitcoin Cash was created - some of them temporarily decreasing the block size with the intention of putting it back into place when needed. BTC veered from that intention.

Not really. There's Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin Ruby, Bitcoin Plus... the list goes on and on but the 'Bitcoin' name hasn't helped any of them much.

Each fork will need to serve a niche to get attention. That's still a high bar to set. A number of forks have been created that have next to no value or interest.
