Anybody who has assets worth more than €5k? And there's currently no publicly announced plan/date for revoking the affected certs. There's a tool coming out in November that you can use to generate new certs for your own ID

You are correct. I stated it as a fact whereas I was just assuming there are vastly cheaper alternatives to AWS to do such nefarious things such as renting machines in a botnet, using dedicated HW that you might have anyway around for coi

The $80k figure comes from the PR of the gov agency (RIA) responsible for the ID card infra. I'd take it with a grain of salt. The affected Estonian ID cards use 2048-bit RSA keys. If you look at the Ars Technica link then they are quo

Relevant: https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2017/10/crypt... It's worth pointing out that GitHub apparently revoked affected certs (generated by Yubikey 4), while the 750k affected national

The algorithm doesn't seem to work at all for me as well. There's usually just a single song that I actually like in the discover weekly list every other week.

The concept of renting a fridge, TV or telephone is something that I haven't even heard of before and I also live in Europe (though, Eastern Europe). Might it only be a thing in Switzerland or in some Western European countries?

Don't get me wrong, the feature itself is indeed useful. It's just that its so.. minor. If you ever wanted to implement this in your app then there are multiple ready-made solutions for this or you could write your own in a short

Noticed the same but for a different item in the changelog. "TextView autosizing" - it's such a minor thing and could well be a minor changelog item in the support library update..

If I'd write an algorithm for a self-driving car that just drives it in a straight line with high speed.. I'd be still responsible if the car kills somebody and couldn't just say that "whoops it was just the silly algori

This seems to be a common running joke in some countries. The same story is also told in Estonia ("Hukata, mitte ellu jätta" vs "Hukata mitte, ellu jätta").

I love electric cars but I totally agree that it's largely true that _most_ electric cars on the market have a range problem (eg cars that are priced in a way that they are _almost_ accessible for the general population).

Ping me when you're around - Estonia is so small that everybody in the tech scene knows almost everybody. There are lots of people who'd like to show you around and talk about startups and technology in general!
