I thought I knew that some people make up to 250k, but some posts here are jaw-dropping. Just to share my part, all in (South)West Germany and in EUR as software dev: 2014: 28k 2017: 33k (raise) 2017: 40k (new job) 2018: 46k (raise)

Not all of it was correct. My parents' generation "learned" to avoid eating fats to not become overweight. My grandmother knew that you shouldn't eat fresh bread before it cooled down (unhealthy or so). We researched the

I assume the "small screen"-faction are just more vocal about it, because they feel left out by the market. The vast majority prefers, or at least don't mind the bigger screens, but don't mind phone manufacturers offerin

I heard that pollen are more aggressive in areas with high emissions - on a reputable German radio show. This could be one reason for worse allergies, especially when you add in lifestyle changes such as moving to a city. Personally, I cou

It is. But working 80% looks more attractive, when you work 80% for 84% of net income, rather than looking at the 80% of your salary. This assumes your employer will pay you less linearly, my previous employer had paid the half-time staff a

I switched the other way around and was mostly surprised that iOs had barely an edge over Android. In a few places downright inferior to it (e.g. keyboard). I can at least trust iOs to provide software updates for my device until 5 years of
