The parents aren't lonely, but they're tired and mostly miserable. I haven't asked "why should I even try" in ages. The question "how do I even manage this hell" has been on my mind more often.

That doesn't disprove anything. Peter Norvig is about as far from "not good programmer" as one can get.

It seems like a bunch of nonsense to me: > Bitcoin should be at least $150,000 right now and everyone knows it. Based on what? I'm a fan of Bitcoin, but "should be" is utter nonsense. As is "everyone knows it". H

1. It is pretty much over. Covid has become (for me at least) indistinguishable from a common cold. 2. Gemini says covid-19 killed 0.086% of world population (over several years ). That's about as mild as it gets. More than sharks, bu

One is enough to make me flinch. But the 7 millions are just a statistic, and a drop in the bucket compared to cancer or cardiovascular disease. Cancer and heart disease together kill the same number of people as the whole covid pandemic

Nice. I don't love that light/dark toggle though: you know there's `@media (prefers-color-scheme: dark)` in css?

I played whatever is in the Debian 13 repos. As far as I remember, elephants have always felt overpowered to me. Could be lack of skill on my part.

Yes of course. I wasn't talking about a high quality campaign: I'm surprised there isn't even a low quality one. Perhaps that would be contrary to the 0ad philosophy.

I've played perhaps tens of hours of 0AD. I boom early, try to create an unbeatable army, and then go win. When I saw competitive 0AD players on YouTube, they played completely differently: they train cavalry or cavalry archers and go

The devs clearly put in a lot of effort. I'm a little surprised no one's created a campaign yet. I love the game anyway, just seems less effort and more fun to create a campaign (of course a different thing to keep the campaign ba

An optimistic answer. I like it! But, like, Peter Thiel genuinely thinks life ought to be harder for gay people? He's a good Christian and thinks gay people will go to hell? I still don't really get it.
