That's not how it works in practice. In practice you pay 40% or more in taxes and the person who wants to get professional help, still uses private services. Universal health care is only for the poor

That crazy push for 10min and longer videos was a sole reason why tiktok happened. I still remember that there used to be short and super informative videos before but now everything is so stretched out with low info density

Setting EU labor BS aside. Don't hire as "permanent employees", hire them as contractors (and offer higher rate). There are lots of people who are quite happy with this arrangement. People get more money, the cost is the same

I took this course a while back. It's not really groundbreaking or anything but I think it's useful. Wouldn't put it on a MUST TAKE IT course list but it was worth it's time :)

Damm... We went full circle now. From (SOAP)RPC to REST to GraphQL back to RPC :D . Code generation for RPC brings so many bad memories back. Personally, I will be sticking to RESTful interfaces as they are easy to understand and maintain.

When people complain about these random OS crashes and freezes it's usually RAM corruption at fault. Per 1gb of RAM, you can expect to see 266 bit errors per month[1-2] if you are using your PC 16h per day. Multiply that by 64GB or 128

Yes! Another German biurocracy-inspired bill to outlaw problems in the society. Why they just don't release a law that forbids people from making bugs?

I am quite surprised that nobody is talking about VCs (Sequoia) that happily poured money into this. What was their plan? Were they blind? Were they hoping to cash out before it crashed? Major investors usually get full visibility into the

Why does this need to be regulated? We already have banks for that. And it's not like regulation saved them from being able to become insolvent.

I think you should try out Angular. React ecosystem is a mess and needs extremely experienced developers to produce software that doesn't suck. Angular, on the other hand, it's quite simple and helps you to get the shit done.

I am sorry to hear that you have experienced such a sorry bunch of code-bases and frameworks but that doesn't define the language or even an ecosystem. I've seen worse magic crap happening with Ruby and Python with their auto-mag

Once again, this is driven by German bureaucrats together with companies that are dead innovation-wise. Sounds like a great plan to increase revenue to introduce rent seeking in addition to expensive and oversubscribed internet.

I wasn't aware that C and C++ standards are ANSI standards. Good for them then :). Sloppy CL.

It's an ANSI standard so that makes updates much more painful than otherwise just "updating the spec".
