For sure, that's why I said it's possibly due to the ecosystem. We link against two C libraries other than libc: OpenSSL and librdkafka. Though they are both abstracted away with solid Rust bindings so for us, so as a consumer of

Go doesn't use clang/llvm, so they can't use these tools.

This feels more like a failure than a win. Don't get me wrong, I love Valgrind, and have been using it extensively in my past life as a C developer. Though the fact that Go needs Valgrind feels like a failure of the language or the eco

To combat a Chrome hegemony you need strong opposition, not a long-tail of weak opposition. Or in other words: Firefox needs to become more competitive. I (unfortunately) don't think having another 0.1% market cap browser is the soluti

I also found it confusing, the way I ended up interpreting it: they are the first unsupported team, and was also unsupported but did it solo.

Email is used a single factor (either because of magic links or forgot password flows), so the impact is much larger than getting your snail mail sent to someone else. Also, whoever takes your old residence is probably not malicious (they j

Congrats on the launch! I'm biased, but you should probably consider changing the webhooks to follow https://www.standardwebhooks.com/ for greater compatibility and library support.

This is such a great anecdote, thanks for sharing! Somehow relatedly, I still remember the first time I heard about profile-guided optimization which is essentially the same but for all of your code at once (well, same idea, not sure it

In my circles we include private networks going back at least 15 years. So maybe diluted, but if diluted, at least not new.

How is that different to any other library? Supply chain risk is a big problem.

Another alternative is loading a library and setting it to a fixed version. You're still giving a 3rd party full access to your website, but at least it's more auditable and safe. Fwiw, I think iframes are great!

I've mostly experienced it when moving from borrowing to ownership and vice versa. E.g. having a struct that takes ownership over its fields, and then moving it to a borrow with a lifetime. It's not super common though, especially

Very biased, but I think you should just use Svix[1]. Though if you're interested, I recorded a video about webhook architecture at some point you may find useful: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4jvV75OD620 1: https:&#

I think this is true for the very simple cases, for example and obviously bad picture vs. a good one. I don't think this is necessarily true for more complex tasks, especially not in areas that require deep evaluation. For example, rev
