The stock market is not the economy, don’t make a false dilemma on being bullish on America or not. You can totally be bullish on America and imagine a reset of the prices on the secondary market.

> Faith in humanity: buy stocks. No faith in humanity: buy gold. Nothing like a good oversimplified false dilemma for a complex economic situation. Don’t give the secondary stock market a greater purpose than what it is.

Come on we are talking 2012, have a look at its history, nearly all major features already existed at the time. Of course the UI would be a bit dated but it’s irrelevant as it has nothing to do with the JS tooling.

We are talking specifically about the front-end, it was already successful in 2012 with basic AJAX and vanilla JS.

Sure, I‘m not debating AC vs Heating, but that installing AC alone in the majority of the millions of European homes that don’t have it because it’s starting to get too hot in the summer is not only not a solution to the general problem but

I’m talking AC in the context of large scale deployment in whole regions, not specifically for people with health problems and/or elderly.

I’m grateful AC are frowned upon in Europe. Putting a band-aid by consuming even more energy is insane in large scale, with the perverse effect of hiding the problem and delaying awareness.

There is something between 10ms and 10s, especially when it's after the initial load. The point of contention is not the website vs webapp debate, it's more that a webapp doesn't have to be that bloated. The whole point of SP

“The way” of doing things depends on the language, and for example for me Python is very hard. It’s not my main stack but I use it regularly and after years I still can’t find "the way" of doing things by myself, I feel like I end

This 100%. The vast majority of websites (not webapps) don't need anything more than HTML, CSS and some JS/JQuery. > Or name me one person who can, from memory, correctly configure the rails sprockets asset pipeline I feel that

It makes me think that maybe what’s so toxic nowadays is the expectation that the job is glamorous and exciting. For me the reality is still the same as 90’s dad’s enterprise software company, but with a big shiny layer of marketing.

The problem is that it was written in a different time for a different world. In 2007 having a web shop was not commoditized, so there was some value in a drop-shipping business, factories and wholesalers had no presence on the web, there w

Not expert but I think if the initial constant can be several orders of magnitude different (I guess a few when airborne vs billions in a droplet) then it can impact the delay of the infection and give time for the immune response.

Isn't the current Intel Core line an evolution of the Pentium M (2003), itself an evolution of the Pentium III (1999)? Apple starting a fresh design with up to date constraints may have given them room for improvements I guess.

I must admit that as a small business owner in France unfortunately I am unwilling to hire because it's so hard to let people go, so putting the weight only on companies is maybe not the answer.
