The LinkedIn Skills Recommender is one of the most impressive features LinkedIn has released in a long time, both from a UI perspective and a data science perspective. Here's what they are trying to do (long term) http://news.cnet.com/830

It'd be great if the author wrote about something specific . This article contains little detail about anything that actually happened.

It appears that the author is upset that his post-liquidity tax planning has been up-ended by prop 30. His argument only applies to entrepreneurs who have had an exit in 2012, and little to no income before that. This is a pretty narrow gr

This makes sense if employees are paid hourly. But if they are, the amount of time they are spending in meetings is far more limited than salaried employees.

Has anyone had a good experience hiring via StackOverflow Careers? I've found it to be expensive, and it doesn't necessarily provide more or better candidates than craiglist, Indeed or LinkedIn.

Ie., if you made 500k in one period, but then lost 50k a year for the next 10 years, you've made a net profit of 0. All I know is that you had one good run, similar to how some mutual funds have a good run for a while. How much did you spe
