Many places online ban or otherwise shun political demagoguery like that. That sort of behavior does nothing to open discussion or otherwise change minds. It's at best bad graffiti purely meant to inflame.

This is another case where patent law superseded physical trespass and pollution/littering laws. Monsanto should have paid the farmer for polluting the farmer's field ALONG WITH being required to remove all Monsanto-owned plants.

The C-levels are in fact people, and can be thrown in jail. The board of directors are also people, and can be thrown in jail. *SOMEONE OR SOMEONES* at the top signed off on that document. If it's multiple people in on this, that makes

Because .3 cannot be described by a float exactly. And C/C++ doesn't have binary coded decimal natively. If it did, then much of what we use decimals and fractions for would be easier to show in decimal.

Given that I am an occultist and a divinatory reader (tarot, etc), I see no issue with selling spellkits as goods to use. I also see no issue in selling spellcasting or divinatory services either. But I also acknowledge significant problems

+1 for the funny joke! But as a story of "DEI" in real practice vs a company who fakes it: I worked as a system engineer for a gov contractor SaaS company with 4 C-levels. 2 were men, and 2 were women. The CEO was a second generat

I've always found these telling when companies bandy around with "DEI great!"... All the while the C-levels are 'white male sausagefest' except for the DEI position, which is invariably a black woman. I like seeing

There is no such thing as "Green hydrogen", other than the facade of oil companies that created that term to allay climate change fears. And we even have a term for this - Greenwashing. https://theecologist.org/202

This isn't a binary answer, no matter how much you try to cast it as one. Software exploits are found regularly. But this is different, with the fact that Ubuntu is peddling knowingly vulnerable software, and then with the implicit thr

That's the problem: for those of us who run Ubuntu and related (Xubuntu here), we found out about this by our regular updating, and having apt give that rude message. It's basically a "fuck you pay me" message, with the

The real problem is that Ubuntu is emitting knowingly vulnerable software for free, and then flaunting "if you were part of our pay-group, you'd get the security patches". The ethical thing is to upstream the fixes, or quit t

From all the comments thus far posted here, I think you'd be best off finding work "under the table", cash only. Yes, this would be defrauding the SSDI system, in the technical sense. But given the significant rise in damned

The 10% bad and 10% good is also a strong proxy for poverty/plenty. Desperate people do desperate things. Also, be careful how you assign "bad". It can either be unethical or illegal, as they are not the same thing.
