Picking Palo Alto is some extreme cherry-picking there. I assume the way an investor in 1956 would have known to buy there is the proximity of Stanford. What type of return would you get if you did the same thing in Berkeley or near USC in

Downvote me all you want. Something nasty is coming in tech startupland.

I wonder if that's a good way to do business if Tesla wants to generate a profit in a few years. Seems very pricey.

I'm sure a lot of the entrepreneur folks on here have much more impressive stories: "I made my first million at age 23" and the like.

Also, was there one piece of evidence that really proved he couldn't have done it? I read a bunch of it, and it sounds like you can't prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt, but that he still might have done it (meaning, there j

I read the articles a bit, but I didn't find any information on who the real killer was. Are there any leads?

Makes sense. Could you instead apply a DC bias to the AC power jack?

42 watts seems ok for a very small installation, right? I'm thinking enough to charge a phone and maybe a laptop. And, that would be driveable with a small 12V battery and a small solar panel.

I think it's because of the bubble. No sense investing in innovation when you're chasing billions invested by VC firms. Better to bank profits for a couple years and then come back in.

I think that's true in markets where business cycles are measured in days or weeks. Cars take a long time to bring to market.

Youtube had a large and expanding user base and was clearly on the way to dominating a category. Cruise has no users and basically just a technology platform. GM will regret this buy.

But, doesn't the price they pay matter? Doesn't paying more than 100x the amount invested in the company seem foolhardy?
