You know that Drew is the maintainer of sway, right? I don't think switching to Windows is an option here :P

You can access the filesystem of the DPT-RP1 via wifi, bluetooth or USB. There is a nice python library to do all that [1]. [1] https://github.com/janten/dpt-rp1-py

The only thing that holds me from considering buying the remarkable is its size. If they would offer a 13 inch version, then I would consider doing that. Right now I am super happy with my sunny DPT-RP1.

I understand that this might be a problem for some people. But I actually prefer to use my Kindle to read e-books. I actually like the rather minimalistic approach the DPT-RP1 has. It does one thing, and it does it great (for me at least).

I was thinking about buying it, because the stylus seemed to be much better than the one from the Sony DPT-RP1. However, I decided to buy the DPT-RP1 mainly for its size (13" is just perfect to read papers and taking notes!). The writi

Of course they don't do that. However, that is certainly not the reason why the relations are so bad. The US government has absolutely no problem in having very good relations with government/regimes that do those things and worse

Maybe you can do this with gl2ps [1]. You can read the STL file with python-occ [2] and then export it to vector format (it uses gl2ps for this). [1] http://geuz.org/gl2ps/ [2] http://www.pythonocc.org/

It is not about the table, but the placing of the table. If you want a table that spans both columns in a double column document, it is annoying to do it in word, while in LaTeX it is as easy as \begin{table*}. Creating a content of a table

Well, although I personally use LaTeX for almost everything I write (I also use markdown for simple things sometimes), It is clear for me that (1) not everyone who has to write documents has the time to learn LaTeX and (2) that there are so

Reducing LaTeX to the look of the equations it produces clearly misses the point. I use LaTeX because it just formats everything correctly. Inserting figures or tables in word can be one of the most frustrating tasks I can do. Every little

I already implement most of the points mentioned there. The most useful (and new) tip for me was however the rasterization part. I normally like to have pdf figures for my LaTeX papers, but last time I had some graphics with some thousands

I came 4 years ago to Germany to do my PhD at a University and even here I can feel the rigidity in the integration of new technologies. You might expect that at least in universities they would be more flexible about which tools you use, b

The AUR only defines rules for installing certain packages, the program itself would still need to be downloaded from Intel. That is how it's done with the MKL package [1] and other proprietary software. [1] https://aur.arch
