if a framework has a BDFL, and that BDFL starts getting increasingly political in a polarizing way, then surely it's fair for the community to respond to that.

How does Trigger compare to tools like Temporal or Restate? If we put aside the AI use case, it seems like the fundamental feature is durable execution, where there are a few other options in the space.

This comes after layoffs of ~10% of the company a week ago: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/phmoyer_today-we-announced-th... According to layoffs.fyi there were also layoffs in 2022 and 2023.

Hi Peter, thanks for doing this AMA! I'm an EU citizen. I got my H1B in late 2023, but ended up not moving to the US after all. When I travel to the US for short business trips (same employer as back then), should I enter using this H1

I have the same problem with Patreon feeds -- I use [siftrss][1] to manage this for now. Though it's slightly hacky, it works! [1]: https://siftrss.com/

My experience with the new code search has really been the opposite -- though I don't need to sort by date. Otherwise, it's a huge improvement over their previous version.

Extremely cool! This is the first time I'm learning about Livebook's smart cells, and seeing how easily you can toggle between the UI and the underlying chain of dataframe operations in code is pretty mind-blowing.

The promise of XMPP + E2EE (with OMEMO) is appealing, but I found that in practice it doesn't work. For example: you want to start an E2EE chat with your friend on the riseup.net XMPP server. You can't, because their server hasn&#
